Revue - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Revues are most properly understood as having amalgamated several theatrical traditions within the corpus of a single entertainment.
Revues took advantage of their high revenue stream to lure away performers from other media, often offering exorbitant weekly salaries without the unrepentant travel demanded by other entertainments.
Revues are often common today as student entertainment (such as the Cambridge Footlights, Durham Revue and Oxford Revue) and use pastiche, in which contemporary songs are re-written in order to comment on the college or courses in a humorous nature.

Studios and corporate offices are at 100 Universal City Plaza Drive in Universal City, California, an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County between Los Angeles and Burbank.
By the end of 1936 the studio had reverted to the cheaper fare that had once been Universal's specialty: westerns, melodramas, and sequels to the studio's horror classics.
The studio lot was upgraded and modernized, while MCA clients like Doris Day, Lana Turner, and Cary Grant were signed to Universal Pictures contracts.

Music Corporation of America - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wasserman expanded the company's presence into television (founding EMKA, Ltd., which owns Paramount Pictures's pre-1948 film library and Revue Studios, the top supplier of television for all broadcast networks, spanning three decades).
He also purchased the Universal Studios studio lot, but not the studio itself, in 1958.
In order to acquire Universal, Wasserman was forced to dissolve MCA's talent agency in 1962 - which represented most of the industry's biggest names - by Robert F. Kennedy's Department of Justice, as it violated anti-trust laws.

By 1976, all of the major studios except Universal had switched their logos over to cel animation, and logos for smaller concerns and broadcasters were beginning to enter the computer age, using machines like Scanimate.

Kudos to Universal Studios for taking such an extreme character from the world of Burton and creating a show around it.
Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on who you ask, the show is no longer at Universal Studios in its Hollywood park -- it was canceled in September of 1999 after a lengthy seven year run.
However, if the show were to return, I hope that it will be appreciated and not taken advantage of -- and that the "regulars" of the park would respect the fact that it is just a show in a theme park, nothing more.

Once again, that wasn't until 1960 (when the series moved to NBC) that the animated "piece of film" Revue Studios logo you're describing was introduced.
In the previous decade it was a stationary logo ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS "Filmed in Hollywood by Revue Studios" and "In Association with MCA TV" or words to that effect, which both appeared on the same screen before the Hitchcock sketched drawing returned.

In time, the studio told young Thackery that he could be promoted to become assistant to the "glass artist"- the man who painted and set up matte shots- if he would work during the day, and go to school at night.
By the time we were done, however, I was able to shoot two-thirds of a long sequence by dollying along with the reflections seen in a long fishpond at night.

"The Deputy" is another of those assembly-line half-hour Revue Studio westerns that were pretty popular during the late fifties and early sixties.
Basically, the premise of the show is that Clay McCord, a storekeeper who's quiet by nature, is suckered into becoming the deputy of Fonda's Marshal Simon Fry, based on McCord's ability to handle a weapon.
That's basically the show in a nutshell, since the plots are the cookie-cutter type you'd come to expect from Revue.
