Rex Allen, born December 31, 1920 - died December 17, 1999, was an American (A native or inhabitant of the United States) actor, singer, and songwriter.
Allen was gifted with a rich, pleasant voice, ideally suited for narration and was able to find considerable work as a narrator in a variety of films especially for Walt Disney Pictures (additional info and facts about Walt Disney Pictures) wildlife films and TV shows.
Rex Allen died in 1999 in Tucson, Arizona (additional info and facts about Tucson, Arizona) from injuries received when his caretaker accidentally ran over him in the driveway of his home.

Rex Allen (December 31, 1920--December 17, 1999) was an American actor, singer, and songwriter.
For his contribution to the motion picture industry, Rex Allen was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6821 Hollywood Blvd. In 1983, he was inducted into the Western Performers Hall of Fame at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Rex was the leader in the 75-city National Tour of A Salute to Glenn Miller in 1993, with the Modernaires, Dick Haymes, Jr and Beryl Davis.
