The Rhamnales are an order of (Flowering plant with two cotyledons; the stem grows by deposit on its outside) dicotyledon (A living organism lacking the power of locomotion) plants.

The Rhamnaceae are no longer considered close relatives of these other forms, and newer systems move them to the (In some classifications this category does not include Leguminosae) Rosales.
