	Rheindahlen Military Complex - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The Rheindahlen Military Complex is a British forces base near Mönchengladbach in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
		It now houses the HQ of United Kingdom Support Command (Germany) which is the administrative HQ of the British Army in North West Europe and the Headquarters Allied Command Europe Rapid Reaction Corps.
		In appearance JHQ Rheindahlen is more like a medium-size town than a military base, consisting mostly of administrative buildings, living quarters, schools, shops and other areas typical of civilian towns.

		The link with Rheindahlen dates back to the late1980’s when a family (the Banks) from our swimming club were posted to Rheindahlen J.H.C., a large forces base.
		It was through this connection that the first exchange visit between the two clubs took place, that being in 1989 when the German swimmers came over to Bingham.
		We stayed with families of Rheindahlen swimmers who looked after us very well and organised a hectic schedule: pool party, gala, disco, ten pin bowling, trip to the zoo and a day out sightseeing and shopping in Köln (Cologne).

		The Rheindahlen Youth Football Club are visiting Lancashire to see the Clarets in action against Reading at Turf Moor on Saturday, following the trips that the BFC Community Programme have made to the British Army bases in Germany over the last eight years to provide soccer schools and coaching to the youngsters on the camps.
		This week saw 21 youngsters and 21 adults from Rheindahlen arrive on Wednesday for their visit to Burnley, where they have enjoyed a series of activities including a soccer school and coaching at the Turf Moor Leisure Centre, matches against some of the local youth sides and trips to the cinema and bowling alley.
