 Sanchez: Iraq war 'a nightmare with no end in sight' - CNN.com
Ricardo Sanchez, coalition commander in 2003 and 2004, called the Iraq war "a nightmare with no end in sight," for which he said the Bush administration, the State Department and Congress all share blame.
Sanchez told a group of military reporters in Arlington, Virginia, on Friday that such dereliction of duty by a military officer would mean immediate dismissal or court martial, but the politicians have not been held accountable.
Sanchez, who retired in 2006, said it was his duty to obey orders and not object publicly when he was on active duty, but now that he is retired he has an obligation to speak out.

Lieutenant General Ricardo S. Sanchez (born 1953) was the commander of U.S. ground forces in Iraq, serves as commander of the U.S. V Corps and is the highest-ranking Hispanic in the United States Army.
In his role as commander of allied ground forces in Iraq, Sanchez was succeeded by a four-star general, former Army Vice Chief of Staff George Casey.
Sanchez is currently continuing his tenure as commander of V Corps in Germany.
