Rich Little (born Richard Caruthers Little on November 26, 1938 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian comedian best known for his celebrity impersonations.
Little was one of three sons of a physician, he had a gift for impersonations since his school days and began performing professionally in night clubs at 17.
Little was married to Jeanne Worden from 1971 until their divorce in 1989.

Little began his career at an early age; at 12 years old, he had taken to answering his teachers in their own voices.
After spending time working as a disc jockey, Little was hired to impersonate Elvis Presley for an afternoon television program as part of an April Fool's joke, and successfully convinced hundreds of Elvis fans that their idol was at a local TV station.
Little would go on to host a Christmas special in 1978, contribute his voice to various animated series, and even star in John DeBello's 1987 spy comedy Happy Hour, which follows Little and Jamie Farr's plight to put an end to the corporate machinations of two rival beer companies.

But this may be like John Goldwater's claim of having created Archie or (most likely) Ashton Collins's of Reddy Kilowatt — a lot of credit being given to an authority figure who made a general suggestion, rather than the working writers and artists who actually fleshed out the character.
Richie Rich Millions (which began in 1961) and Richie Rich Dollars & Cents (1963) were the first of over 50 titles to feature the so-called "Poor Little Rich Boy".

The contents of the tape are reported to be an explanation of the al Qaeda September 11, 2001 attacks on New York and Washington, D.C. The Pentagon immediately called in top FBI sound analysts to try to verify that the voice on the tape was bin Laden's.

Little prefaced the scenes with brief explanations delivered from behind a lectern before stepping to the solo microphone to deliver excerpts from "An Affair To Remember" as Cary Grant and from "Love Is a Many Splendored Thing" as William Holden, to name but a few.
If Little's first set was an entertaining experiment in progress, his performance in the second half of the evening fit as comfortably as Perry Como's sweater.
This trip down Memory Lane with Little singing bits of hits by Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby and the never to be forgotten Rat Pack was interspersed with an easy sense of comic timing that had the audience enjoying the journey.

I was a real fan of Rich Little when he was an up and comer, but once he hit the big time his ego took over, and the quality of his act went down.
The material was of poor quality, and for some reason Rich's voices started having less quality (he was stretching his act by including voices that weren't even close, like Edith Bunker.
I remember he used to state that Bob Hope was impossible to imitate, until Dave Thomas blew him out of the water.) Anyway, the first episode of his own show ended with Rich hugging a big dog, the symbolism being pointed out by all the critics.
