Richard Hatch is an internationally known actor, teacher and speaker who has sustained recognition in such series as All My Children, The Streets of San Francisco (for which he won Germany's Bravo Award, equivalent to an Emmy Award), and Battlestar Galactica (for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award).

Additionally, Richard is not participating in the new SCI-FI Channel Battlestar Galactica mini-series which is a re-imagining (remake) of the original show, not a continuation as fans had hoped for.

Richard Hatch (born May 21, 1945) is an American actor from Santa Monica, California, best known for his role of Captain Apollo on the original Battlestar Galactica movie and television series, for which he received a Golden Globe Award nomination.
Hatch can also be heard in numerous television commercials and other voice-overs.
In 2003 Richard Hatch accepted a recurring role in the new Battlestar Galactica series in which he plays Tom Zarek, a terrorist turned politician who spent twenty years in prison for blowing up a government building.

Richard Hatch, who won $1 million on the first season of the reality show "Survivor," said he has no problem being remembered as the "fat naked guy" from the CBS show.
Hatch, 44, a former corporate trainer, said the 10-count indictment was retribution for his refusal earlier this year to follow through with a plea deal.
Hatch's attorney, Michael Minns, said Hatch had participated in Horizon Bound when he was younger and was trying to resurrect the program.
