Richard Karn Wilson (born February 17, 1956, in Seattle, Washington) is an American television actor.
Karn is sometimes referred to as "Richard Jr." because he and original Feud host Richard Dawson share the same first name.
Richard left Family Feud in 2006 and was replaced by former To Tell the Truth's John O'Hurley.

I do think that both the change of the gameplay, plus Richard Karn's improvement as host are the two main reasons Family Feud has survived and avoided cancellation (unlike Hollywood Squares and Pyramid).
Richard Dawson was the man. He set the bar, and every host who's followed knows it.
Richard Karn is just painful to watch for the reasons mentioned before: drags out the time until an answer is revealed and tries to hard.
