| | Richard Lyons: 24-hour joy for life inspired others |
 | | Lyons died Sunday of pulmonary fibrosis at his Trenton home, where his 10 children and other family members gathered in the last week to say good-bye. |
 | | As owner of the Lyons Service Center, which he ran from 1960 until his retirement in 1992, he towed the usual broken-down automobiles, helped victims of traffic accidents, and pulled cars and sometimes bodies from the Detroit River. |
 | | Lyons is survived by his wife, Colleen; daughters Sue Willmuth, Kathy Green and Karen Howey; sons Dan, Mike, Rich, Jerry, Kevin and Tim; two brothers; three sisters, and 26 grandchildren. |
