Regrettably, Dick Mahoney who was well loved by his family, his friends, students, and associates, had a very serious stroke on Sunday morning and died at the age of 73 on Tuesday, July 20, 2004.
It goes without saying -- Dr. Richard T. "Dick" Mahoney will be fondly remembered by his students, colleagues, and his friends for his dedication to them and to his profession.
It is a privilege for me to have known Dick Mahoney for all of 36 years and I am sure that all of you who knew him have the same feelings.
