It is a soundboard recording from a Richard Manuel concert at the Getaway Club, October 12, 1985 (lesser quality audience recordings from this show have previously circulated among collectors).
The disc arrived via HMV Canada on Friday and the fidelity is outstanding for a vintage live club recording.
Sparse and intimate, it's a fantastic portrait of Richard Manuel the performer (although the cheap electric piano does detract slightly).

A 2-disc US bootleg/CD-R on the Old Brown Boot label, with a Danko/Manuel concert recorded at the Lone Star Cafe in New York City, February 1, 1984.
The sound quality is not stunning - there's some distortion in Richard's piano in spots, and the recording is heavily weighted towards the low end, which can be EQ'ed to achieve a pretty nice sound.
