One should not be surprised that Richard Stallings is speaking out for “his” candidate for Lt. Governor, Larry LaRocco—After all; Stallings is the chairman of the Idaho democrats.
Richard Stallings, today’s chair of the democrats—refused to debate.
But for Richard Stallings to castigate a candidate for doing the same thing he did some twenty-two years ago is politics at it’s worst.

Democrats are keen to boost a well-known, well-liked figure such as Stallings to the party leadership after losing more than two-thirds of the presidential vote in the Nov. 2 election, where their rival Republicans cemented a nearly five-to-one majority in the state House and four-to-one majority in the Senate.
Stallings, 64, served four terms in the U.S. House and also was executive director of an affordable housing group in Pocatello before retiring in 2003.

Seems that Stallings was convicted in 1997 of injury to a child for abuse and mistreatment of a two-year-old boy, and took off from probation supervision.
He was on the run for 6 years, and now gets to go back and do the rest of his time.

Stallings is walking the party line of corruption being a root of the Republican party, but Sullivan does raise a good point.
