Richard was born in Glasgow, the only son among the three children of a Rolls-Royce accountant and a teacher.
From 1981, until its closure in 1989, Richard was principal of the Thomas Delarue school for the disabled in Tonbridge, where his tenure was characterised by a wicked sense of humour and love of theatre.

MI6 should just learn to treat their employees fairly - it would save them a lot of work and the tax payer a lot of money.
Tomlinson is clearly still pissed at what he deems to be unfair dismissal from MI6 more than ten years ago and apparently he writes his blog only to piss off MI6, get a court hearing on his unfair dismissal, receive an apology from MI6 and possibly get reinstated.
