Washington County is a county located in the state of Wisconsin.
The racial makeup of the county was 97.69% White, 0.40% Black or African American, 0.25% Native American, 0.57% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.40% from other races, and 0.66% from two or more races.
In the county, the population was spread out with 26.70% under the age of 18, 7.20% from 18 to 24, 31.50% from 25 to 44, 23.40% from 45 to 64, and 11.20% who were 65 years of age or older.

County officials are within days of completing an agreement with Cabela’s Inc. that will define when the $4.5 million Washington County has committed to the company’s local megastore project will be provided and how it will be used.
Miller said the county insisted on that guarantee after it learned that Cabela’s was considering building another store in Hoffmann Estates, Ill., less than 100 miles to the south.
While Washington County has approved spending $4.5 million in economic development support on the Cabela’s Inc. project, the future of both components in that financial package remain in doubt.

 Cabela’s says it plans to build in county
Following eight months of negotiations with local, county and state officials, Cabela’s issued a statement Friday that it plans to open a 165,000-square-foot store on 60 acres in the towns of Richfield and Polk in late summer or early fall 2006.
Last month, the County Board supervisors approved a separate $500,000 grant to Cabela's to help pay for hunter education classes and other educational programs, although one supervisor who voted for that grant has since said he will call for a new vote on the proposal and plans to vote against it.
Robinson said Cabela’s selected the Washington County site after studying several factors, including purchases made by its catalog customers in the area; sales of state fishing and hunting licenses; boat and ATV registrations; population growth in eastern Wisconsin; and the highways’ role as gateways to recreational land in central and northern Wisconsin.
