Rick Mahorn (born September 21, 1958 in Hartford, Connecticut) is a former NBA basketball player who, at 6'10", played power forward and center, mostly for the Detroit Pistons.
Mahorn was the baddest of the Piston "Bad Boys".
Somewhat short for a center, Mahorn had a huge rear-end that he wasn't afraid to plow people over with.

The three, along with later acquisitions Joe Dumars (a 1985 Draft Pick), Rick Mahorn, and Dennis Rodman, formed the core of a team that would rise to the top of the league.
With their physical, intense style of play, the Pistons gained the nickname "Bad Boys." Coach Chuck Daly took the team to the NBA Finals three consecutive years (1988-90) and won NBA championships in 1989 and 1990 (and it is wildly debated in Detroit that the Pistons should have won in 1988).
After two successful seasons (2001-2003) under head coach Rick Carlisle, which saw the Pistons win 100 games and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 1991, Carlisle was fired and replaced by Hall of Famer Larry Brown.

An 18-year NBA veteran, Mahorn was selected in the second round of the 1980 NBA Draft by the Washington Bullets (now Wizards), and later played for Detroit, Philadelphia and New Jersey, averaging 5.8 points and 5.5 rebounds over his career.
Twelve days after celebrating the Pistons' first title, Mahorn was chosen by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 1989 NBA Expansion Draft, and later traded by the T-Wolves prior to the start of the 1989-90 regular season to Philadelphia for three draft picks.
Returning to the NBA that same season, Mahorn signed a free agent contract with the Nets, and following four years (1992-96), he re-signed with the Pistons for the 1996-97 and '97-98 seasons before concluding his professional career with the Sixers in 1998-99.
