The first was the FCC's suggestion that it would consider requiring Internet providers who invest in their own transmission networks (rather than leasing capacity from other telecommunications providers) to pay into the universal service fund, even though the service they provide to customers is not subject to the universal service provisions of the 1996 Act.
White said the FCC's threat to regulate the Internet was the kind of situation that prompted him to introduce his Internet Protection Act, H.R. "The Internet Protection Act would help the Internet thrive and ensure that we reap the full benefits of new technology," White said.

It is rumored that prior to his election defeat that White stated that if he lost the election he would not return to the Sheriff's office and thus far all reports we have received out of Delaware County indicate that Sheriff White is evidently a "no show".

Many years later in 1999, Rick re-scored the music for 4 past Winter Olympics and set about the task of re-arranging and recording them.
Although the story is a bit unclear to me, it seems the music for this album was composed for a movie called Reflections Of Winter (or at least inspired by it) which features images from four different Olympic games (60, 64, 72 and 76).
On the whole, an album that is maybe too typically a soundtrack meant for a large audience: the music is too tame to impress me. The melodic material is usually fine, but how it all comes out leaves me very much uninspired.
