		Moving south toward Jonesboro, Georgia, the regiment formed in reserve to Bryant's 1st Brigade during the Battle of Jonesboro on August 31, during which time the men were exposed to the enemy's heavy artillery fire.
		Reaching McDonough, Georgia, on November 17, the regiment moved southeast, destroying the railroad from Station #14 to Irwin's Crossroads.
