Ridge Racer V includes the tracks from the original Ridge Racer, Sunny Beach is the short track and Green Field is the long track.

Indeed, if the people who made Ridge Racers 1-4 did go on tour, that probably explains why RR5 and R: Racing were so ARGH; they probably whipped their heads round so fast demonstrating the cornering routines that they spun clean off and had to be surgically re-attached.
There's a lot of recognisable track design from earlier Ridge Racers, but the actual circuits merely borrow the best elements, and it's a tactic that works well; played forward and backwards at different points, there are very few weak tracks.
Ridge Racer is due out on September 1st in Europe.

Ridge Racer has always been one of my favorite driving franchises and I had to admit being somewhat excited when I heard it was being created for the PSP (this is after I played the DS version which was, for lack of a better phrase, a piece of complete and utter shit).
Given the capabilities of the machine, I knew that Ridge Racer has the potential to be fantastic and I often look back and wonder why I didn't import it when I received my Japanese PSP in December.
For those unfamiliar with the series, Ridge Racer is an arcade style racer (similar in style to games like Outrun and Burnout), meaning that the physics in the game do not attempt to mimic those found in real life.

With Ridge Racer you can create your own full competition (or "Tour") for the specific length of playtime you have.
Set the Ridge Racer Tour to the relevant time and it creates a bespoke set of races to fit that period, so you'll be hitting the chequered flag of the final lap just at the perfect moment.
