 The Ring: Collectors Edition (2002)
The follow-up to Ring sees the return of Naomi Watts as journalist Rachel Keller and is directed by none other than Hideo Nakata, director of the original Japanese language film Ringu and also the similarly themed Dark Water.
I noted a number of tiny film artefacts that are identical to those in the earlier release, confirming that this transfer is derived from the same source.
The film is effectively a diary of Jake's haunting seven days after watching the tape, and the desperation that consumes him when the end draws near.

The film has a good grasp of children's logic, the obsessions and the anger at perceived betrayal, as well as the way adults behave in a death situation : outpouring of emotion, explaining away in fantasy, hiding behind drink, opting for a replacement.
Again, the length of the short is mostly set-up for a finale more entertainingly gross than funny, but it keeps interest up with an effectively creepy mood.
The film resolutely believes that the system is set against true justice and yet refuses to analyze this belief in any depth.

Such is the premise for Guillaume Herent and Xavier Andre's award-winning short film "Pfffirate".
At Supinfocom, we have most of the software to create CG films such as 3ds max, Maya, Photoshop, Combustion, etc. What Supinfocom did not have was all the top-notch hardware such as multi-processor workstations and huge amounts of storage.
He had composed music for other Supinfocom shorts in the past such as “Reveils”, “Sarah” and “Le Faux Pli”, What was difficult was trying to find the type of music that would fit the film.

Okay I understand that to start the film out with a 16 minuet opening like this would have been boring in the theater, it would have dragged the opening on a bit, but that's what editing is for!
It didn't hurt Ring 2 but it could have opened it with a more awe inspiring or knock over the head start then there was.
I am very glade they did include Rings on the Ring 2 DVD, just wish they could have inserted it along with the film.

Copies of "Rings" were handed out at the party and everyone there was buzzing about "Ring Two" and the short film "Rings".
Not only do you get to see the film short "Rings", which stars Ryan, but there is a free movie ticket in the box for you to see "Ring Two" in theaters.
The next contest we are hosting is a drawing for a framed, signed print of the promo poster for "Ring Two" and a signed 2 DVD box set of the Special Collectors Edition of "The Ring", which of course includes the film short "Rings".

But the emotional rollercoaster of The Ring Two is a fantastic vehicle to deliver such a poignant message as the bond of trust between mother and son, and the reasons you stay away from nasty bitches.
The Ring Two is a poor film, made even poorer by being a follow-up to one of the greatest horror films of the decade.

Part of the attraction to the project is Brian's Rustboy site, (www.rustboy.com) which chronicles his efforts with the film, from early beginnings as a personal project, developed in his own time to a privately funded venture which he now works on full time.
The bulk of the film will still be done using Infini-D for the reasons I mentioned earlier, but I may end up compositing other elements in certain shots.
Working on the film is a massive job in itself, but there are also lots of Rustboy related things to do at any given time.

Sure, all of these could have fit on the original The Ring, and probably should have, but it's the included "Short Film" of Rings that excites and stimulates like a shot of Caffeine-Laced NyQuil.
He discovers that his "Ring" of the daring isn't the only one, but one of a huge Ring Community of Rings who trade their videos on a FearDotCom-style website (so we're ripping off the rip-offs now?).
In Rings' mere sixteen minutes (less time than it takes you to read this, I bet), the filmmakers (Ehren Kruger and Jonathan Liebesman) manage to craft a creepy companion piece to The Ring Two, which still has the feel of The Ring, and the Tape that haunted it.

the soundtrack had to be right to make it fit in with the film, the film had evil creepy music to fit in with the bits of then film when the evil people came on screen and it fit in fantastic.
Gollum was animated rather unusually it has the voice of Andy serkis who plays gollum, he actually acts the part in a blue suit and then he is put into animation which gave a good effect and was also good for the actors to have someone to work with instead of just pretending.
This film is full of suspence becuse of the way the film flicks from one scene to another and you want to find out what happens to them.

The second disc is a short film that is supposed to set-up the second film.
Since the trailer for THE RING was perhaps the best trailer released for a film in the 2000s, this one feature would have been enough to inspire me to buy this rerelease.

The short sketch is full of funny details: the SF-dialogue is hilariously bad to begin with ("Primitive human, I demand your submission." or: "Your nebula is beautiful, let me into your Milky Way!" etc.), the lifeless, bland "performance" of the two "porn stars" emphasizes the atrocity of the writing even more.
Ethan's character is apparently getting a major kick out of the erotic games he's trying to film, while the two Art Police Officers break out a major sweat (it's so bad that sweat is dripping down their chins!) and have to excuse themselves one after the other to recover their composure.
Because once a bad film has been released to the general public, thousands of people can be offended on the same day.
