		Rio Bravo, the 2002 ride, celebrates the film industry’s infatuation with all things western with an epic boat ride around the dusty wooden streets of Western Americana and harsh landscapes of the West.
		With only two drops on Rio Bravo, it is the forgettable drop that has been omitted from the ride leaving two excellently situated and well executed drops to remember the ride by.
		Rio Bravo is a long ride, but very little of this is idly zig-zagging or staging itself for it’s next trick.

		Romanticized, featuring great, iconoclastic photography and ever-blue skies, "Rio Bravo" is one of the films that burn themselves into your mind and create an immediate association with the genre.
		Although not as remarkable as some of the fully restored releases of classic films we have seen in recent times, "Rio Bravo" is a beautiful transfer the decries the film’s age.

		The most riveting scene in the movie is where the story shows Dude fighting the demons and the DTs on a lonely chair in the middle of the jailhouse.
		Dean sings, "...while the river Rio Bravo flows along." Maybe they changed the words because, although Rio means river, we never seen one in or near the town.

		i bought "rio bravo" entirely on the strength of the critical acclaim, and i was awfully disappointed.
		compared to "the searchers," "rio bravo" is claustrophobic (all the action takes place inside a jail, a saloon or a single street) and pointless.
		"Rio Bravo" offers us great brush strokes on a democratic canvas, a film about a bunch of folks that operate on the feeling that there really is no one to waste.

		The basic premise probably predates this movie and the short story it's based upon, and while Carpenter's film is the most direct descendant, any number of action, war, horror, and sci-fi movies have the basic siege structure - small group of heroes waiting out an inevitable attack by a superior force.
		Much of the movie plays out under an uneasy truce - Nathan and his men surrender their guns to Dude as they come into town, but it's reluctantly, with the undercurrent that next time, they'll have their weapons holstered.
		That's why having Angie Dickinson around is nice; that her Feathers would develop any kind of romance with Chance over this movie's timeframe seems sudden, but it's a sweet, feminine counterpoint to the rest of the action.
