		Risan (Latin Rhizinium, Greek Rhizon) is the oldest settlement in the Bay of Kotor on the shores of the Adriatic sea in southern Montenegro, geographically located at 43°21′ N 18°42′ E.
		Risan is a tourist destination that has a fine hotel called after its most famous citizen, Queen Teuta, with accompanying fine plages.
		In the mid 15th century, Risan was referred to as the town of Herceg (duke) Stjepan.
