Given my past and quite favorable reaction to Rita Rudner's humor, I was quite unprepared for this flat, predictable novel.
I LOVED Rita's comical book, "Naked Beneath My Clothes." Throughout, it was as if I could hear her reading the words to me. They were so reminicent of her speech.
A writer must be very tuned into people to do that, which explains why Rita is able to make her comedy relevant and liberating to the audience, and why the audience seems to like her at once.
