RITE and SPIRITUALITY of the Byzantine Catholic Church in Slovakia
Rite is a spiritual journey, it is a method of certain community (local church), how it lives, walks with God and towards God, it is a language by which this community expresses its relationship to God.
Rite, says Professor R. Taft SJ, “is not only a study of liturgy but more importantly it is a complex tradition, an exceptional way of understanding religious people by certain communities, expressing and living their life within the Mystical body of Christ.
The reason of this is a very strong influence of the Old Testament and also an effort to capture not the earthly reality but that of heaven’s (eternal one). The fact that there are statues in some churches is only a consequence of latinization.

There is reason to believe that that use, while retaining the essential order of the original Antiochene service, had already considerably modified various parts, especially the actual prayers.
When we say, then, that the rite of Constantinople that bears his name is the Liturgy of St. James as modified by St. Basil, it must be understood that Basil is rather the chief turning-point in its development than the only author of the change.
This rite is accompanied by many prayers, the particles (prosphorai) are arranged on the diskos (paten) by the Lamb (that of the Theotokos on the right, because of the verse "The Queen stands at thy right hand".

A further defense alleged Built Rite was not an employer, not having two or more employees as required by 85 O.S. ¶6 A trial judge awarded compensation for permanent partial disability resulting from back injury.
No reasonable interpretation of the statute indicates "active employment" means actual physical engagement in hazardous employment at the precise time another employee sustains accidental injury.
With the determination that the claimant is entitled to compensation from his direct employee, Built Rite, and there being a general contractor-subcontractor relationship between LVS and Built Rite, then LVS, as the general contractor, is made secondarily liable to claimant.

 Pius XI, Rite expiatis (30/04/1926)
Poverty, which consists in the voluntary renunciation of every possession for reasons of love and through divine inspiration and which is quite the opposite of that forced and unlovable poverty preached by some ancient philosophers, was embraced by Francis with so much affection that he called her in loving accents, Lady, Mother, Spouse.
The reason why Francis particularly loved poverty was because he considered it a special virtue of the Blessed Virgin, and because Jesus Christ on the Cross, even more especially chose poverty for His spouse.
For this reason he tried in every possible way to hide those privileges and graces, especially the stigmata of Our Lord imprinted on his body, which might have gained for him the esteem and praise of men.

Drug Store News: Rite Aid execs urge staff 'to move from good to great'
When the Eckerd acquisition first was announced, retail analysts surmised Rite Aid would have a window of soft pharmacy competition stretching between 18 months and 24 months before any changes for the better could begin to have wholesale impacts on market share region by region.
For that reason, there is a direct line of sight to the pharmacy from the entrance, as well as designated consultation areas designed to encourage pharmacist-patient interaction.
Throughout the conference, Rite Aid sought to reinforce its "With us it's personal" slogan in anticipation of the consumer ad campaign the chain is kicking off with that theme this fall.

Rite and Reason: Allowing Leeway in Moral Choices
Catholics cannot accept that it is sinful to use an effective method of family planning when a couple is not prepared to bring a child into the world.
Church officials in Ireland and elsewhere, especially the Vatican, hold that there can be only one authentically Catholic position on abortion, one which sees every direct abortion, no matter the circumstances for the pregnant woman (even, as in the X case, for a raped girl), as a forbidden and evil act.
Flowing from the assertion that a doubtful law does not bind, probabilism says that if one has good and solid reasons for thinking that a particular line of action is morally correct, even if there are other reasons one is aware of that contradict one's own, a person may choose the action with impunity.

It was in consequence of this suspicion that in 924 John X sent a legate (Zanedo, Zannello, or Jannello) to Santiago to examine the Spanish Rite.
The champion of the Spanish Rite, Juan Ruiz de Matanzas, who was the victor, was certainly a Castilian, but it is improbable that the champion of the Roman Rite, whose name is not recorded, was a Toledan, and the Annals of Compostella say that one was a Castilian and the other of the king's party.
At the present day those who belong to the Mozarabic Rite use the Roman Ritual, and, as their bishop is the Archbishop of Toledo, who is of the Roman Rite, the Roman Pontifical is also used for them.

Rite Aid, the largest retail drug chain in the state, said it would have to reconsider whether to accept Oregon Health Plan prescriptions altogether if Oregon in fact decreased its reimbursement on those prescriptions to average wholesale price minus 17 percent.
Rite Aid officials William Wolfe, vice president of managed care, and James Krahulec, vice president of government affairs, joined the Oregon State Pharmacists Association in meeting with Oregon government officials in an attempt to stave off such drastic cost-cutting measures and proffer more pharmacy-friendly budget-cutting tactics.
Rite Aid spokeswoman Jody Cook stressed that the drug chain would review their situation in Oregon only after the emergency rate reduction took place.

 [No title]
Now a rite which is capable of effecting a valid Sacrament is one which is not opposed in the matter and form of the sacramental rite; the matter of the rite is all the things and actions which it contains; the form of a rite is the signification it proposes.
The matter of a sacramental rite requires that the minister does what the Church does; the form of the sacramental rite requires that the faith of the Church in doing what She does is, at the very least, not contradicted or polluted by those which effect the rite.
Hence for a capable rite there is required at least the form and matter of the Sacrament as instituted by Christ and promulgated by the Church, not without those things which are not opposed to a profession of Catholic faith in the Sacrament.

I set out the beginning of the rite in some detail for a reason; the ceremonies described will be familiar to anyone who is acquainted with the traditional ceremonies of the Roman Rite.
The reason I offer the detail is to set the context for my reflection on how different my experience of this ritual is from Novus Ordo, for I find the Anglican Use rite with the traditional ceremonies extraordinarily liberating.

Because of the significance of this part of the Communion Rite, it should not be overshadowed by unnecessary activity around the altar.

When candidates of catechetical age who have attained the use of reason are received into the full communion of the Roman Catholic Church they are to be confirmed at the time of their profession of faith and reception.
The Rite of Election (catechumens) and the Rite of Calling to Continuing Conversion (candidates), by definition, separate those who are “ready” and “free to be admitted to” the Sacraments of Initiation.
The criteria includes (but is not limited to) whether the child has attained the use of reason, and it is the responsibility of those charged with the responsibility for Christian initiation to determine the maturity level of the child.

The fact that the Pledge had a substantially different meaning to its author than it does to its admirers is insignificant; the fact that a godless Pledge was good enough for, say, the generation that fought World War II is beside the point.
Americans are almost unique in pledging allegiance to a flag, but they have come to impute significant meaning to their rite, and to associate it with their national identity.
While he was composing the Pledge, Francis Bellamy originally considered adding references to “fraternity” and “equality,” as if he were preparing students to storm the Bastille.

But in order to understand that Rite it is essential to know something of the man, of his work and of the religious movement that grew out of it.
The bulk of the book purports to show, by a judicious manipulation of sources and the use of specious reasoning, that Swedenborg had indeed been a freemason and that many of the 'hauts grades' of the later eighteenth century were heavily influenced by Swedenborg and his theology.
According to the warrant, Emmanuel Lodge and Temple of 'The Primitive and Original Rite of Phremasonry otherwise known as the Swedenborgian Rite' was to be held at Manchester, with Yarker as Worshipful Master; Francis George Irwin as Senior Warden; and Samuel Petty Leather as Junior Warden, (the fourth member mentioned by Yarker was Kenneth Mackenzie).
