		Notre Cégep est situé à Rivière-du-Loup, une petite ville d'environ 25 000 habitants, située sur les rives du fleuve Saint-Laurent, à deux heures de route à l'est de la ville de Québec.
		Le jeudi 20 octobre 2005, le Cégep organise une journée de type « portes ouvertes » à l'intention des élèves de niveau secondaire de la région de Rivière-du-Loup et des environs.

	Cent ans ...
		C'est ce que fit Léon Casgrain qui fut choisi représentant du comté de Témiscouata à l'Assemblée législative en 1927, réélu dans Rivière-du-Loup en 1931, 1935 et 1936 avant de devenir député de Kamouraska-Rivière-du-Loup en 1939.
		Il faut quand même souligner que M. Léon Casgrain fut pour sa part député de Kamouraska à Québec de 1939 à 1944, mais qu'il avait aussi été élu député à l'assemblée législative en 1927 dans Témiscouata et en 1931, 1935, 1936 dans Rivière-du-Loup.
		Originaire de Québec où son père était gérant de la légendaire compagnie Paquet, Gérard Dallaire pratiqua la médecine à Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière après avoir épousé Henriette, la fille du docteur Thomas Gosselin, de Saint-Pacôme. Ses nombreuses activités au sein de son milieu l'incitèrent à solliciter l'investiture du parti libéral aux élections du 14 novembre 1962.

	Dates in Canadian Railway History
		Sir Sandford Fleming directed the surveying and construction of the trackage to fill in the gap in the railway system between Rivière du Loup and Truro, the Grand Trunk having previously constructed eastwards as far as Rivière du Loup and the Province of Nova Scotia having built a line between Halifax and Truro.
		Sir Sandford Fleming was appointed Engineer-in-Chief of this railway which was to be completed by 1881.
		Sir Henry L. Drayton was Chairman of the Board of Railway Commissioners for Canada while William Ackworth came from London.

	Culture et municipalité - Bas-Saint-Laurent
		Dans cette foulée, le Ministère a conclu une entente de développement culturel avec les Villes de Trois-Pistoles, de Rivière-du-Loup, de Matane, de Rimouski et les MRC de Kamouraska et de Rimouski-Neigette qui couvrent différents secteurs de la vie culturelle, soit le patrimoine, les bibliothèques, la muséologie, les arts de la scène et le loisir culturel.
		En 1998, le ministère de la Culture et des Communications et le ministère des Affaires municipales annonçait conjointement le lancement du projet de Réseau Villes et villages d'art et de patrimoine.
		Dans un premier temps, les municipalités ont abordé la culture principalement par le biais de l'aménagement du territoire et de la conservation du patrimoine, qui relevaient de leur compétence.

		Les Kaskas habitent la région montagneuse où se draine la RIVIÈRE LIARD dans le Sud du Yukon et le Nord de la Colombie-Britannique.
