William Blake and the Radical Swedenborgians
We know that a number of Blake’s fellow artists were Swedenborgians and met in the Theosophical Society (in 1785 renamed as The British Society for the Propagation of the Doctrines of the New Church), which among its members counter Philip de Loutherbourg, Richard Cosway, and Blake’s close friends John Flaxman and William Sharp.
Blake’s comment in the Marriage, “It is so with Swedenborg; he shews the folly of churches and exposes hypocrites” (pl. 21; E43), is evidence of this posture.
Blake, who wrote his most direct political poetry at this time, would certainly have chosen the side of the “swine” over the fallen “chapel of gold,” which could now be seen to betray its former radical principles.

There is also an interesting connection albeit a much lower degree of overlap between the Albright Knox’s previous exhibition, The Forman Collection of Monochrome Art, which although it included some nontraditional materials like Florence Pierce’s resin pieces which were also in the PostMark exhibit but did not make it into this one.
The Barons have also curated both New York-based and traveling shows focusing on many forms of abstraction.

 GREGG BLAKE GENEALOGY
I was able to link my ancestor Anne Cole, who married Robert Blake in the 1320s or 1330s in England, and her father William Cole to this family (considerably before its elevation to an earldom).
Of course hard dates and certain connections are awfully difficult to come by this early in time, but the facts matched, and I added another branch to my tree.
His family line is unbroken back to William Cole of county Cornwall in the second half of the twelfth century, a descendant of a baron Cole mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1070.

When Democrat Tim Mahoney (seen here on the right, with Clinton's Treasury secretary Robert Rubin) started his run for the House in Florida's 16th District, he mostly financed it himself, and it looked like an expensive self-indulgence.
Mahoney, chairman of the financial services firm vFinance, appeared to be a sacrificial lamb to the strong Republican incumbent Mark Foley—another in a long string of unsuccessful Democratic candidates.
It's also significant in 2006, because the popular Strickland is now running for governor against Republican Kenneth Blackwell, who as secretary of state manipulated the electoral system to make sure Bush won.
