Sir Robert Bond (February 25, 1857 – March 16, 1927) was the Premier of Newfoundland from 1900 to 1909.
Robert Bonds was convicted of the murder of Michael Webster and conspiracy to commit murder.
Bonds contends that the trial court failed to give adequate weight to the fact that his imprisonment would create a hardship for his family and failed to find as a mitigating circumstance the fact that he “accepted some responsibility for the incident,” making his sentence manifestly unreasonable.
