Robert is playing Kevin Sheehan, the local pub owner, a very colorful character who is at times forgetful but he doesn't take any lip from anyone and he ends up renting the back room of his pub to Jack for the play production.
The film, which was delayed seven months, stars former New Kid-gone-Hollywood Joey McIntyre as a frustrated playwright putting on a performance of his sacred script in the back of a pub.
The story might be familiar to locals because McLaughlin did just that about nine years ago at the Burren in Somerville with his Irish-American family drama ''God Willing." ''I remember that time so fondly; it was such a great process to be a part of," McLaughlin said.
