Robert is known for his wide use of Schecter basses.
Robert is known for being a master riff maker; he created most of the riffs for STP which was the band's trademark style.

Robert Deleo is the younger brother of STP guitarist Dean Deleo, and is responsible for most (pretty much all) of STP's bass guitar and is responsible for some guitar playing.
Robert was and probably still is somewhat of a hermit.
Robert also belong and helped form the band Talk Show with Dean, Eric and David Coutts, while Scott was in and out of rehab a couple years ago but the band never really took off and was disbanded.

STP played their first gig at the Whisky in LA in 1990 under the name of Mighty Joe Young (isn't that a movie about a gorilla?) Two years later a booking artist caught their act and they were signed to Atlantic Records in 1992.
