Urquhart pointed out that the American airborne Divisions were receiving more than their fair share of aircraft, but Browning dissuaded him from thinking that this had anything to do with American political pressure, and correctly explained that the divisions were given priority depending on how close they were to the starting line.
Urquhart could visibly see that the 1st Para Brigade and the Divisional Units were going about their business without problems, but the 1st Airlanding Brigade were out of sight on LZ-S, and so he set out in his Jeep to verify that they were alright.
All Urquhart could think about was that he had to return to HQ as soon as possible, and he was quite prepared to destroy the SP gun using the few grenades they had at their disposal and then make a dash for it.

This epic movie about Operation Market Garden, the attempt by the Allies to catch the Germans by surprise in 1944 and capture several bridges in Holland to prepare for an invasion of the German industrial regions near the Rhine, is near perfect.
Robert Redford and James Caan are stoically heroic, as expected, but manage to convey a very good sense of fear and terror and determination and Caan's jeep race through a forest is a formidable cinematic experience.
Elliot Gould chomps on his big cigar a bit too much, but his fervor in overcoming obstacles is strong and just falls into the believeability range of what individual leadership can mean in a campaign.
