When Guillaume returned to the "Sports Night" set March 30 to film his brief scene for the season finale, he was "extremely warmed" by the reception he got from the crew and cast members.
Guillaume, who won two Emmy Awards for his portrayal of sharp-witted, irreverent butler Benson on "Soap" and the "Benson" spin-off, is looking forward to a full-time return to "Sports Night." The series has been renewed for next fall despite so-so ratings in its first season.
Guillaume's wife, Donna, is the clever one who suggested to Sorkin that her husband's stroke be written into the "Sports Night" story line.
