Robert moved to Beallsville, Washington Co., Penn., and married Ruth, a daughter of his uncle Thomas Hawkins; he lived on a farm and preached for a congregation of the Christian Church, of which he was a member; he died May 26, 1851, much lamented by the community.
Thomas Hawkins the eldest son of Robert and Lydia Hawkins, was born in 1741 in Harford county, Md., was married in 1763 to Sarah Hargrove, of Kent county, Md.; she was born in 1747.
