Robert Kiyosaki - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Robert Toru Kiyosaki (born April 8, 1947) is an investor, businessman, self-help author, and motivational speaker.
Kiyosaki uses the "rich dad, poor dad" comparison to illustrate his view that the majority of people are stuck in what he refers to as "the rat race"—living paycheck to paycheck and spending all of their time working to pay bills.
Kiyosaki repeated this claim in a subsequent column[10], expanding his criticism of mutual funds by stating they are for "losers".

Kiyosaki is adamant that every child is a genius in some way and that parents just have to figure out how their child likes to learn and what will motivate them.
Kiyosaki's key business mantras, like "savers are losers" and "don't work for money; make it work for you," sometimes clash with conventional wisdom.
In the best-selling Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Kiyosaki explained those different perspectives by contrasting his real dad or "poor dad," who worked hard but was constantly hounded by money troubles, with his "rich dad," the father of his best friend, who bought real estate and became one of the wealthiest men in Hawaii.

Personal finance author and lecturer Robert Kiyosaki developed his unique economic perspective through exposure to a pair of disparate influences: his own highly educated, but fiscally unstable father, and the multimillionaire eighth-grade dropout father of his closest friend.
Although Kiyosaki can take a frustratingly long time to make his points, his book is nonetheless a compelling advocate for the type of "financial literacy" that's never taught in schools.

ROBERT KIYOSAKI: It does surprise me. But if you look at my calls they’ve been fairly accurate because, when I came out here in 2000, I said to everybody, property is going to take off around the world, and it did.

Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki, both successful businessmen, are also natural teachers -- and have joined forces to address these challenges.
Kiyosaki developed his famous -- and bestselling -- economic approach using the example he learned from his "two fathers." One (Robert's real dad) was a highly educated man, but financially poor; the other was the father of Robert's best childhood friend -- an uneducated man who became a self-made multimillionaire.
As Kiyosaki explains on his official web site, he learned from his Rich Dad that "business and investing are team sports." Thus, he created the Rich Dad's Advisors series -- a line of books showcasing the advice of various experts in their finance-oriented fields, featuring introductions from Kiyosaki himself.

Kiyosaki is just telling lazy and/or stupid students a line of bull that lets them avoid responsibility for their poor academic performance and gives them a convenient scapegoat to blame for their lousy financial situations.
Kiyosaki’s implying he is wealthy, but refusing to disclose how wealthy, will almost certainly cause would-be litigants and others to overestimate his net worth, thereby increasing the chances of his being sued over what they would be if he were more forthcoming.
Kiyosaki’s version is muddled and risks giving people a dangerous wrong impression, but, like a politician, he seems more interested in sweeping the audience along to his selfish ends than in teaching them what they need to learn.
