Robert Koldewey (September 10, 1855 –; February 4, 1925) was a German architect and archaeologist, famous for his discovery of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon in modern day Iraq.
He was born in Blankenburg am Harz in Germany, the duchy of Brunswick, and died in Berlin at the age of 70.
Koldewey unearthed many of its features including the outer walls, inner walls, foundation of the Tower of Babel, Nebuchadnezzar's palaces and the wide processional roadway which passed through the heart of the city.

Accusation (7): Greg Roberts, 52, formerly of Sterling and now of Fort Collins, alleges that in 1968 White fondled him in the church sacristy and in the basement of a social hall.
Koldeway laid out the allegations, answered the panel's questions and listened to the church's offer of counseling, which didn't interest him.

In Koldeway’s case, the alleged abuse included fondling, masturbation, oral sex and White showing him child pornography — in his parents’ home while they slept downstairs, while driving on the highway in White’s car, in Aspen, in White’s parents’ home and in a parish rectory in Minturn.
Koldeway said he was 9 or 10 when it started.

Another new suit alleges that White abused Greg Roberts of Fort Collins beginning in the late 1960s while Roberts was an altar boy at a Catholic church in Sterling, according to a draft of the suit provided by a Miami-based law firm specializing in sexual abuse cases.
According to Koldeway and the other alleged victims, White worked as a priest in Denver, Colorado Springs, Sterling, Loveland, Minturn, Aspen, Wheat Ridge, Grand Lake, Steamboat Springs and Eagle.
Koldeway and several members of a support group for victims of clergy abuse unsuccessfully fought back tears during Tuesday's news conference.
