 | | Shea's 29-year career in public service has touched on all phases of FEMA's emergency management roles, including preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation, along with all areas of functional responsibility including operations, planning, logistics and administration. |
 | | Shea was detailed to the Office of the Secretary, Department of Homeland Security, where he confronted the new challenges of the post-9-11 environment by supporting the issuance of the National Response Plan, the initial formation of the Principal Federal Official program and the implementation of the Special Events Program. |
 | | Shea resides in Alexandria, VA where he and his wife, Mary Hope, have raised four daughters: Sofia, Michele, Hope and Victoria. |
