		This aberration came out of the Latter Rain Movement under the "apostleship" of John Robert Stevens, a William Branham disciple whose church in Redondo Beach, California, operated for a number of years as the headquarters for the movement.
		Stevens developed his network of some 94 churches thereafter by teaching his people that he was not just an Apostle, but the Apostle of the Kingdom who would break through into the ultimate revelation ''in the heavenlies'', leading his flock into it with him.
		Stevens and The Walk are to this day universally considered among researchers to be a cult.

		Stevens (1787-1856) — the man who invented and developed (see below) both the "T"-rail and hooked railroad spike still in universal use today — established an equally daring and important first railroad connection between the then two most important commercial and population centers of the young nation, Philadelphia and New York.
		In May, 1881, Francis B. Stevens, a nephew of Robert L. Stevens, wrote the following letter relating the elder Stevens’ development of the “T”-rail and hooked railroad spikes a half-century earlier.
		In answer to your letter of the 27th instant 1 will say that I have always believed that Robert L. Stevens was the inventor of what is called the “T”-rail, and also of the method of fastening it by spikes, and I have never known his right to the invention questioned.

		Stevens applied his outstanding drawing skills as a scientific illustrator at Lawrence Laboratories, first working with Manhattan project veterans in Livermore, then with Nobel Prize winning scientists in Berkeley.
