Robert Vesterlund, alias Robert Wennerstedt, born October 28, 1976, is probably mostly known for his involvement in the murder of Björn Söderberg.
During 1993 Sverigedemokratisk Ungdom, a youth organisation of Sverigedemokraterna, was founded and Robert Vesterlund became the leader under the alias of Robert Wennerstedt, and during the following years he worked his way up in the pary and had a seat in their national board.
Robert Vesterlund got the part as an independent organiser for NationalSocialistisk Front and among other things he arranged the anti Jewish demonstration in Stockholm November 8, 1997 and NFS' first may day demonstration in Ludvika May 1, 1999.

Söderberg, the murdered union activist, was a member of the Syndicalist Workers Federation (SAC), a splinter since 1910 from the main union federation in Sweden, Landsorganisationen (LO).
When Vesterlund was elected to the local union leadership, Söderberg alerted the top national leadership of this union, the Retail Workers Union, to the fact that the man was a fascist.
Vesterlund was expelled from the union and soon after quit his job.

Three gunmen fired six bullets into the head of Bjoern Soederberg on Oct. 12 after the warehouse worker for an office supply company disclosed to newspapers that the man elected to represent his union shop, Robert Vesterlund, was the publisher of two racist periodicals and participated in white supremacist rallies.
Vesterlund had been forced to resign before the shooting, for which three neo-Nazis in his inner circle have been arrested and charged.

The police were able quickly to arrest three young neo-Nazis for the murder as they were under surveillance in connection with the 28 June car bomb, and had been seen in the area around Söderberg's flat in the weeks preceding the murder.
Robert Vesterlund (23) was also arrested on suspicion of having instigated the murder, but the police have been unable to prove his knowledge of the crime.
