Roberta proposes she teach violin within the school's music department, and is even able to supply the instruments (she collected 50 child-size violins while living in Greece, where her husband was based).
She vividly conveys the colorful approach the real Roberta Guaspari seems to have taken toward her students, abusing them for lack of attention, for not practicing, for playing off-key -- to the point that the complaint of a mother almost ends her career.

A frustrated writer and web techie, Williams drew an audience of thousands with his daily accounts of the events that took place on his boat during the Rally both at sea and while docked at the various ports.
But Williams thought the opportunity to cruise with other Nordhavn owners, as well as with experienced technical and medical personnel, would gain him the boating experience he badly needed.
And hoping to avoid writing a book that was completely dry, Williams peppered the pages with tales from the Rally, which read as real-life lessons to the cruising applications he outlines in the book.

Sierra Planet - Phantasmagoria Game Reviews
The first time I heard of Phantasmagoria was when I bought the Roberta Williams Anthology, which included the first chapter of the game as a bonus demo.
The game is the most technically advanced of all Roberta's games: the characters are played by real actors, the 3-D graphics, the resolution and the animation are highly realistic and accurate (even to the most minute details!), making the game more than just another computer program -- very close to a real movie.
Roberta did that because she wanted the players to focus on the game and storyline in Phantasmagoria and not on the cursor interface.
