		Robertsfors is located between the municipalities of Skellefteå and Umeå in the County of Västerbotten in the northeast of Sweden near the coast of the Bay of Bothnia.
		Robertsfors has 7200 inhabitants, 2200 of whom live in the central town of Robertsfors and the other 5000 live in five smaller villages and more rural areas.
		The County Administrative Board selected Robertsfors to be a pilot for sustainable municipal development, and applied for EU funding for a five-year development project.

	Green Zone - Robertsfors, Vasterbotten County
		Robertsfors a former iron mining and manufacturing center, is a community of 7,200 residents located in Vasterbotten County, approximately a two hour drive from Stockholm.
		In 2001, The Vasterbotten County Administrative Board and County Council together with Robertsfors Municipality invested and received funding from the European Union through the project Sustainable Robertsfors to spearhead work to achieve sustainable development.
