		During this period Robin Hill was commissioned by Thomas Nelson, Ltd. to write and paint the illustrations for a comprehensive volume on AUSTRALIAN BIRDS.
		Robin Hill relocated to the United States in 1971, establishing studios in Virginia and Washington, D.C. Following successful exhibitions in Middleburg, Virginia and New York, there was a solo exhibition at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. and also an exhibition cosponsored by the World Wildlife Fund and the Australian Embassy.

		At NHLBI, Hill managed a variety of research programs concerned with psychosocial factors and health, and was known to many behavioral and social scientists for her work in stress and coping with chronic illness, minority health, women's health, smoking cessation, obesity prevention and maintenance of behavior change.
		Hill was active in many professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association's task force on women's health and the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues, serving on the society's fellowship committee and as chair for its 1993 program at the American Psychological Association convention in Toronto.
