RoboRally was rereleased in July 2005 under the Avalon Hill label.
In RoboRally, players assume control of one of many "Robot Control Computers" in a dangerous widget factory filled with moving, course-altering conveyor belts, metal-melting laser beams, bottomless pits, crushers, and a variety of other obstacles.
The goal in a game of RoboRally is, apart from survival, to be the first to reach a pre-designated number of checkpoints in a particular order.

This set is the most important of all of the RoboRally games, because it is the master set -- all of the other games require it for the program cards, the robots, and the damage markers.
RoboRally's sequel fixes this problem, but this set on it's own will require you to be more creative.

The gameboards on these pages are created mostly with the board elements found on Erik's RoboRally Page (Thanks Erik!!) but some are made by myself.
Everybody who have played RoboRally for a while knows that you have to arrange a track with a lot of variety in it to be a real challenge.
But when you are just a few players the large boards comes to a disadvantage by separating the players with such a distance that the fun interaction by pushing each other becomes almost impossible.

The obstacles you can run into during the race are basically the same, with two exceptions: crushers don't appear in the current version of the game, and pushers activate only on register phases 1/3/5 or 2/4 (single-phase pushers are gone).
Now, when it gets to the point where all players but one have filled their registers, the timer is flipped.
The Turret and Shield cards had to be rotated at the start of your turn to indicate which direction they were pointed, and that was always either confusing or annoying.
