	Isaac Asimov's Robot Series - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The unique feature of Asimov's robots are the Three Laws of Robotics, hardwired in the robots' positronic brains, which all robots in his fiction must obey, and which ensure that robots don't turn against their creators.
		The final four robot novels comprise the Elijah Baley (sometimes "Lije Baley") series, and are mysteries starring the Terran Elijah Baley and his humaniform robot partner, R.
		Rather than precursors of robots that may be made as derivatives of computers, Asimov's robots are actually what in philosophy are called homunculi, thought experiments on what sort of being would result from considering a human being and removing one or more of these characteristics.

	Isaac Asmiov's Robot Series - Ex Isle Forums
		For anyone that's read the series, are the four novels in the robot series good enough to read and spend the time to go to a bookstore and purchase them since the library doesn't have them?
		Have you read Asimov's Foundation series or all the books with R. Daneel Olivaw, starting with "The Caves of Steel?" They all end up being interconnected, but "I, Robot" is more of a stand-alone.
		I also reinterate that Asmiov's "Robots" are layered throughout the Foundation series -- the backbone really, in my mind and then he has his separate robot stories.
