		The Rocas Atoll is a reef formation on a submarine mountain rock substrate, with an area of some 7.5 sq.
		Rocas Atoll has a sense island vegetation which is herbaceous and salt resistant and predominant species include Portulaca oleracea (Portulacaceae), Sesuvium portulacastrum (Aizoaceae), Cyperus ligularis (Cyperaceae), and Eragrrostris prolifera (Poaceae).
		Rocas Atoll is the only atoll in the South Atlantic and is important for its reef formations and large colonies of breeding seabirds.
