During the 1970s, Breedlove raced a rocket dragster powered with a lunar module motor fueled by hydrazine.
Craig Breedlove (born March 23, 1937) was a five-time world land speed record holder.
October 13th, 1964 - Breedlove reached 468.719 mph (754.330 km/h) in the Spirit of America Sonic 1 at Bonneville Salt Flats, reclaiming the land speed record from Art Arfons.

Dragster ace Gary Gabelich was selected as the driver, and Blue Flame arrived at Bonneville in September 1970.
The rocket engine, designed specifically for the car, was capable of producing a staggering 58,000 hp for a period of 20 seconds, but for the record attempt it was restricted to 35,000 hp.
Five weeks later, after a number of problems had been overcome, Gabelich set a new record on 23rd October of 622.407 mph for the mile, and 630.388 mph for the kilometre.

 Dragstar
Dragstar is a 3x18mm cluster rocket meant to resemble a top-fuel rail dragster and has round fins (slicks), a cockpit, and a "tubular" (spruce dowel) front end with tires on the nosesection.
Dragstar is a cluster design inspired by a conversation I had with another CRASH member named Gary.
A third fishing weight caused the Dragstar to turn around and fly forward when swung.

The rocket engine in the Spirit of America dragster is from the US Lunarlander from the 1960's.
Although Craig Breadlove went on to 675mph in a 4-wheeled Spirit of America it was on October 15th 1964 that the jet powered 3-wheeled Sprit of America reached a speed of 526.27mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats (USA) breaking the Land Speed Record.
The Spirit of America is officially the World's fastest 3-wheeler.
