With Rockford entering the 20's and the population growing to over 65,000 residents, the college moved back to East State Street at the corner of State and Water Street where it remained for the next seven years.
By 1957, the Rockford area had television, and in 1958, Rockford School of Business continued to expand its education programs and was granted approval by the Illinois State Board of Higher Education allowing Rockford School of Business to offer fully accredited degrees.
Rockford Business College is extremely proud of its newly formed association with AHED and its “sister college” in Ohio.

On December 20, 1962, the establishment of a radio station on campus was approved by Rockford College Board of Trustees.
The Executive Board of Rockford College Student Government recognized WRCR as a communications medium on Feb. 5, 1963, and WRCR began regular carrier current broadcasting on March 17, 1963, from room 206 in Nelson Hall.
In 1985 the college needed the space in lower Burpee and WRCR was again on the move.
