Rockland County is a county located in the U.S. state of New York, 16 miles north-northwest of New York City.
Rockland is the smallest county in New York outside of New York City.
In the county the population was spread out with 28.00% under the age of 18, 7.90% from 18 to 24, 28.00% from 25 to 44, 24.30% from 45 to 64, and 11.80% who were 65 years of age or older.

New York's Medicaid program, the largest in the nation, is the only one that requires counties to pay a large share of costs.
Until now, the state has prohibited counties from reviewing Medicaid claims, but concerns that the state was not doing enough to regulate the program prompted officials to grant permission for the counties' reviews.
The counties granted permission to investigate Medicaid billings and hired IBM to conduct a statistical analysis of their Medicaid bills and look for irregularities.

I came across the county line marker shown on the topo, right where the Haverstraw/Stony Point town line hits it, so it's marked as a town line marker.
