Oakland ~ A photo exhibit by residents who "live, work or play in Rockridge" is on view at the Rockridge Branch Library through October 10.
The name "Rockridge" appears on maps as early as 1878, designating an area north and east of Broadway where early residents built estates and "country cottages," among distinctive outcrops of sandstone boulders and meadow fields dotted with live oaks.
