Smith led the Broncos in receiving yards for the eighth consecutive year and paced Denver in receptions for the sixth time in the past eight seasons (1998-99, 2001-04), ranking seventh in the AFC in receiving yards and ninth in the conference in receptions.
Smith was selected by his teammates as an offensive co-captain, joining quarterback Jake Plummer in that role, and caught a pass in all 16 games to extend his franchise-record streak to 92 consecutive games with a catch.
Smith tied for eighth in the AFC in receptions (11th in NFL) and tied for ninth in the conference in receiving yards.
