Caesar Rodney, the subject of this biography, was born the son of Caesar & Elizabeth Crawford Rodney on October 7, 1728 on the family farm in East Dover Hundred, Kent County, Delaware.
Rodney received a message from "Thomas McKean" letting him know that on July 2 the congress was going to vote on its independence from the British.
Rodney was again elected to the Continental Congress in 1782 and 1783 but he was unable to serve due to his poor health.

Rodney Dangerfield (November 22, 1921 - October 5, 2004), born Jacob Cohen, was an American comedian and actor, best known for the line "I don't get no respect" and his monologues on that theme.
As a teenager, he got his start writing jokes for standup comics; he became one himself at 19, and struggled financially for nine years under the name Jack Roy before giving up show business to take a job as a salesman to support his wife.
