		In 1971, Davis narrated the title sequence voice-over for the comedy western TV series Alias Smith and Jones, starring Pete Duel as Hannibal Heyes/Joshua Smith and Ben Murphy as Kid Curry/Thaddeus Jones.

		Davis is the recipient of numerous internal and external awards including the 1991 and 1995 UTRC Outstanding Achievement Award, the 1992 UTC Horner Citation, best paper awards in 1993 and 1994 from AIAA and ASME, as well as the 1988 Gas Turbine Award from the ASME International Gas Turbine Institute.
