Pearson was relocated to the United States in 1965 by Willis Carto, head of the anti-Semitic Liberty Lobby, and became editor of Carto's magazine, Western Destiny.
Roger Pearson's successor as head of the American WACL was John Singlaub, whose high level and government connections restored an appearance of respectability to the WACL.
Another major funder of Western Goals was industrialist, Roger Milliken, a member of JBS and of the Board of Directors of W.R. Grace Co. Deering-Milliken and Deering-Milliken Research Corporations also funded Western Goals.
